That would be good document for IBM to supply even for us long-time users of z/VM. I have never used ALL of the IBM supplied directory entries, but I have been asked by Management and Auditors what some of them were for.

Neither. What I'd like to put together is a table with two types of information. For example: User and Identity information like this: MAINT630: Maintenance user for z/VM 6.3.0 Minidisk information like this: MAINT 190: CMS SYSTEM DISK MAINT 19D: CMS HELP FILES MAINT 19E: SYSTEM PRODUCT CODE DISK MAINT 5E5: VMSES/E CODE DISK MAINT 51D: VMSES/E PRODUCT INVENTORY DISK This for the entries in the IBM supplied USER DIRECT. It is pretty automatic stuff for people that work with z/VM but for a bunch of z/OS system programmers, they can feel a little bit like a blind man in the dark. That can be found in the IBM book "CP Planning and Administration", in the section "Creating and Updating a User Directory" http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/zvm/v6r3/topic/com.ibm.zvm.v630.hcpa5/cusrdir.htm If you follow from there you can find descriptions of each individual statements. For example here is ACCOUNT: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/zvm/v6r3/topic/com.ibm.zvm.v630.hcpa5/daccoun.htm Or did I misunderstand and you are looking for how to display the contents of the user directory?
