Typically, there's only a small number of things that can be wrong from the Linux side of things. 1. The IP address 2. The subnet mask 3. The default gateway Check to make sure those match. If you're using dedicated OSAs and not a VSWITCH, then check that 1. You have the right RDEVs 2. They have a cable in the card to the right switch, which is defined as the right kind of port If you're using a VSWITCH, then check 1. The right RDEVs for the VSWITCH 2. There's a cable in the card to the right switch, etc. >From the Linux system, if you can ping your default gateway and then one hop >beyond, that part is OK. Unless they have ICMP turned off.
