a question if you do not mind. we are going from SLES 11 SP2 to SP3.  we
also use an SMT server. when you upgraded did you follow the below outline:

copy SP2 Core and Update repositories in the SMT /etc/zypp/repos.d
directory to SP3
edit the newly copied files to change references from SP2 to SP3
run zypper ref, zypper in, zypper or and zypper upd cmds ?
