This is one of a class of problems.
Behavior of 'vmcp' depends heavily on the VM/CP command processor, which
is rather more than a man page should contain.

So many things are up-stack. This is an example.

Probably fair enough simply for the man page to cite the Device Drivers
book. (loudly?)

I truly appreciate that it mentions escaping special characters (like "*").
Now we just need a primer for VM newbes on a 3270 (3215) console ... yet
more special characters.
