You sound like you don't trust the machine, Steve. :-) Here's how it works: - If you IPL Linux in an ESA/390 mode partition, Linux is runs on CPs - If you IPL Linux in a LINUX only mode partition, Linux runs on IFLs - If you IPL Linux in a z/VM mode partition (not as a z/VM guest), Linux runs (only) on CPs.
