Configuring a second virtual NIC is just straight forward. Just add it to the user directory, and give permission to the VSWITCH (if applicable, could also be a directly attached device).
Within linux, you can use either yast to configure this, or just call qeth_configure -h qeth_configure <parameters> to configure the device. To check for the device, you can use lsqeth NAT itself is configured with SUSEfirewall2. The configuration is found below /etc/sysconfig/SuSEfirewall2 Please search for the term "masquerading" in that file, it is quite well documented. The SuSEfirewall2 service must be running to really do the NAT of course.
