I was in the middle of something else and had to transfer a couple 3390 disk images to another system. By the time I dumped them with DDR and VMARCed them, they were just a little bit too large to transfer using FTP - the system has only 3390 mod 3s, and the files were too big for one volume. Create a SFS server, glue a few 3390 mod 3s together, problem solved... but I started thinking that maybe someone else might have to do this and need a cookbook to do so.
So, quick and dirty white paper.
