If linux is running in an LPAR the scm driver can see the flash attached to the LPAR as a a set of block devices, and you can LVM them together and put a file system on them if needed.
I use it to create a large space to kdump to in order to make the dump outtage as short as possible, but you can use it for a general purpose file system if you really want to.
