Hi,

Just thought I'd mention this that has bitten us recently after a microcode
upgrade to our OSAExpress4 SX cards on a z196. At the advice of our local
hardware support, we're looking at backing it out, but as they're shared PCHIDs
it will take a bit of scheduling.

The full message text from the DTCVSW1 console log:

DTCOSD089E VSWITCH-OSD device XCATVSW28403DEV: Channel error on 8404

It was working beautifully until this :(

Oddly, the basic IP stack access via TN3270 etc. works fine, only the VSWITCHes
seem to have trouble. I've had to set them to "disconnect" to avoid retries of
the connection.
