I typically don't access my systems via a GUI, so I can't say I'm familiar with this. Exactly what setup are you using? What display and window managers, etc., on both sides, what means of access (vncviewer or something else?), etc. The only "advice" (for lack of a better term) I can offer at the moment is to make sure you have all outstanding maintenance installed on the SLES12 SP1 system.
