Thanks for the vote of confidence.

I stumbled onto chzdev in an Ubutntu system.  I was trying to add both swap
VDISKs and a minidisk.  There was no 'dasd_configure' as there is in SLES
and there was no /etc/dasd.conf as I believe there still is in RHEL, so I
looked into how to create udev rules for those devices.

chzdev just handled it (it is now my friend :)).  Then adding the 'by-path'
flavor references to /etc/fstab was easy and - 'voila' - the swap spaces
are persistent across reboots.

It would be great to see the latest s390-tools in all the distros
(hint-hint :)) ...
