Expect another wonderful "up close and personal" workshop with great content, terrific camaraderie, and professional networking. Come to meet VM old-timers... and *future* z/VM old-timers while learning the latest technical z/VM, ‘Linux on z Systems’, and z/VSE details. Don't know where to start with Linux on z Systems? About VM Workshop Is a great place to start! PRICE: STILL UNCHANGED from the previous six years, **ONLY $100 per attendee**. Optional dorm room housing with full linensare available as listed above. This is the best bargain out there for z/VM and ‘Linux on z Systems’ education, and is quite reasonable for anyone paying their own way. •• Regular attendees and sponsor attendees: The $100 registration fee for regular and sponsor attendees includes: o access to all sessions and hands-on labs; o if registered before the deadline above, a snazzy 2016 VM Workshop polo shirt(not just a cheap T-shirt like those high- priced conferences); o attendance Thursday evening at the Gala Dinner Reception and Dinner, o and almost all other meals (Friday night is left free to explore the host site area on your own). •• Full-time Students: A $10 registration fee includes access to all sessions and hands-on labs. •• Spouse attendees: A $0 registration fee provides: an optional means of purchasing a dorm room bed (deadline and pricing as described above), and/or optional attendance at the Thursday evening Gala Reception Banquet and Dinner. HOW: Registration is now available online, please check it out soon at: Click Here to go directly to the Registration page (that page has links for pretty much everything you’ll need). ‘Live’ z/VM-hosted webservers are standing by to take your registration! Paypal is used for all payments so that we never store, or even see, any credit card payment information. On-site registration will be available (cash or credit), but dorm rooms and polo shirts must be ordered by the deadlines listed above. PARTICIPATE (yourself!): •• Compete in the historical (occasionally hysterical) VM Workshop "Ugly Hawaiian Shirt" contest for a chance to win a treasured, but ugly prize! (B.Y.O.U.H.S.) •• The VM Workshop began as a way for VM systems programmers to share… •• what they did at their si tools they had written, and •• what they had learned. Please do your part to help us return to that pattern of mostly USER-PRESENTED sessions. Don't have enough to fill an hour? No problem... read more about presenting, or submit the idea (or multiple ones!) at: Submit a Session Idea. The Volunteer Committee will merge multiple shorter presentations into full hour sessions. Don't be shy, we're all your z/VM, Linux on z Systems, and z/VSE friends. No ‘flaming’ is tolerated, you won’t find a more intimate, more friendly group before which to try out public speaking. Place this event on your calendars, and please join us at Rutgers University, Piscataway, NJ. Don't miss this incredibly inexpensive, educational, and fun event!
