Ed, You are definitely correct on the contribution that these 2 guys they are making. I was reading some of the blog entries by one of them, and there was some very interesting items documenting exploits that we all need to be aware of, that can compromise the security of the mainframe, even if your mainframe is not connected to the internet directly.
I know it opened my eyes a bit more.
