Well, at first I tried to be clever and add it to the udev item as RUN+=

Suspecting that might be a timing issue, i mkswapped just from linux and did a 
reboot, which doesn't drop the vdisks so they should still be mkswap'd properly.

And the swapon -a later certainly thinks they are ok.

Another question. How did you prepare the swap disk, with mkswap in the guest 
or with some CMS tool? Does a new mkswap on all failed disk + reboot help?
