If Michael used "yast dasd" to enable the disk, this would have
internally used dasd_configure and that indeed necessary part would be good.
However, there are more things necessary regarding root-fs to make it
sufficient:

Hi group!
I have created an LVM on root root and about a month ago I expanded / resized
it using yast.
I formatted the DASD
CreAted the partition
Added the volume to vgroot
Expanded the LVM and finished.
Today I went to bring up the machine and it was complaining about lvroot that
it was missing a disk.
If I followed the above process, why would the disk be missing?
Did I miss something?
