If you can make the time, I would be interested in seeing the contents of the files under /var/log/YaST2/ when the install fails. To generate a bit more information, if you add "linuxrc.debug=3 linuxrc.log=/dev/stdout" to the parmfile. Then, send me the output from the z/VM console log for the guest.
