Yes, it appears that my prior Linux experience the alias (below) was already 
setup, unlike ClefOS:
alias vi='vim'

Are you using vi or vim? I always set an alias vi=vim. Check of vim is 
installed. Both come with ClefOS.

Might be easier to install THE. The Hessling Editor and Regina Rexx. Then put 
it into edit mode ...
