You tell the tools to put those s390 executable parts in a separate directory from where you package it in the initial ram disk. Except when you make a typo late at night and overwrite your Linux x86 glibc with the s390 code that does not run there. One by one things were falling over and I had to re-install Linux on the PC next morning...
