Hm. Inserting the vlan= came from following the RedHat kernel parms; turns out, taking out the vlan= made no difference.
I then took out the init=/initrd and the ipv6.disable=1 and the installer ground into life. (Think: Gene Wilder) VNC wouldn't work with inst.repo pointing to SineNomine.net, but when I pointed it back to my laptop and the loop-mounted ISO, VNC worked. Apparently my old disk partitioning values aren't correct, so I need to find the disk partitioning notes for the installation, but.....it appears...to...be...working. Or at least, I'm over the first minor bump, getting the installer running. Thanks, all. I _GREATLY_ appreciate the help. In the configuration I described, the guest is VLAN unaware.
