That was a fun read, and I loved being reminded of Alan Sokal's famous hoax paper - which was published in a journal housed one town over from me. This was part of the post-modernist movement and the Duke English Dept, and Stanley Fish were deeply caught up in this movement - which Sokal didn't care for (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sokal_affair for more background.)
