Tetration is a pretty big package of functions; some of the individual pieces can be replaced by open-source tools that build and run on zLinux, but there is a fairly large amount of glue involved. We'd probably need to know more about what pieces of Tetration you're trying to replace to give you a better idea of replacements. For example, Apache OpenDaylight has some of the SDN functions (www.opendaylight.org, code at https://github.com/opendaylight). The AAA parts can be built on top of OpenRADIUS, and the VPN parts can be built on OpenVPN, both of which build and run fine on zLinux. Snort can be built on zLinux; may be in some of your distribution supported RPM archives. Lots of dark corners that may not have good replacements. You may be able to run the Tetration management code on another platform managing some of the infrastructure pieces above on zLinux, which would give you the nice management GUI, but I haven't had an opportunity to try that. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to lists...@vm.marist.edu with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www2.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
