Hi everyone,

In my company I need to set up a HA NFS cluster on RHEL 7 running on z/VM 7.1.
But my company doesn't have a subscription for the Red Hat High Availability or
the Resilient Storage Add-On. So I build the packages for pacemaker and pcs,
used the drbd packages from the epel repository
(http://download.sinenomine.net/epel/epel-7/s390x/) and build the drbd kernel
module (kmod-drbd). But this setup doesn't work for me. After enabling the
kernel module und creating a shared storage device, I couldn't boot up the
servers anymore (dracut emergency shell). Maybe this was a misconfiguration.
But I think it would be very difficult to keep the software up to date because
of the different repositories and ways the software will be provided to our
servers.

Do someone know a possibility or has a running HA NFS cluster on RHEL without
the subscription for the Add-Ons?

Why is kmod-drbd not part of the epel repository?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
David Mittelstädt
