Cross-posted to Linux-390, IBMVM, and IBM-Main

Almost five months ago, the SUSE acquisition of Rancher Labs closed. For
those of you not familiar with Rancher, the public announcement referred
to the company as "... the market leader in Kubernetes management." Even
allowing for marketing puffery, industry analysts viewed it as a good
move, for both companies.

Now, SUSE is announcing its intent to provide the software on
non-Intel/AMD hardware. The initial release for Linux on IBM z and
LinuxONE will be a subset of the full Rancher product suite, while still
enabling customers to derive value from it. The details on what will be
included are in Mike Friesenegger's blog posting at
https://www.suse.com/c/bringing-rancher-value-to-ibm-z-and-linuxone/

SUSE will be making further announcements about this in the future, so
please say tuned.
