Last night on one of our LPAR, a group of our z/Linux Guest has disconnection
issues. Checking the vswitch, during the issue, of one of the guest, shows no
ip.

On the guest using uncouple and couple doesn't work. Adding detach and define
after uncouple, reset the card.

My questions are:

  1. Why those servers can't recover when the others can?
  2. Is there a way to check what cause this?
  3. Do anyone has this issue before?

The preliminary search shows that the issue arises between 10:09 PM. We have
SLES12 SP5 under z/VM 7.2.
