If that's really not possible for you, you indeed probably would add the DR
virtual FCP devnos to /etc/zipl.conf [designed method for the root-fs] and
additionally to /etc/zfcp.conf. Re-create initramfs. Re-write zipl boot record.
Would be easiest if you could do that while booted on the main site.

The different storage WWPN and LUN in the DR site, should not be much of a
problem as your FCP devices are NPIV-enabled and I assume you have a somewhat
recent Linux distribution (such as RHEL 7 or later?), so zfcp auto lun scan
would automatically discover paths in the DR site for you.

The full console output is helpful (not necessarily sufficient, though) in such

Linux console of my guests to get the full output later on.
this usually means that the storage device with the root filesystem
can't be found. Does the VM definitions match the Linux parameters?
