An early Christmas present.....the DISLIN 11.5.0 graphics library has
been ported to Linux running as a guest of z/VM. From its web site
(https://www.dislin.de/index.html):
"DISLIN is a high-level plotting library for displaying data as curves,
[1] polar plots, [2] bar graphs, [3] pie charts, [4] 3D-color plots, [5]
surfaces, [6] contours [7] and maps [8].
DISLIN is intended to be a powerful and easy to use software package for
scientists and programmers. There are only a few graphics routines with
a short parameter list needed to display the desired graphical output. A
large variety of parameter setting routines can then be called to create
individually customized graphics."
I find it very useful for displaying z/VM performance data without the
need for shipping the data off-site.
Enjoy!
