If I were running a data center with a zVM/Linux capable Mainframe and a
whole farm of linux/windows virtual machines, I would look to have the
Mainframe be the centralized administration/reporting center for the
Ansible (provisioning, patching, deprovisioning, maintenance) processes
for System, Application and Database Administrators. Each of these roles
having different privileges with Ansible Tower.

But I am no longer part of data center management, so this is just
wishful thinking.

It will be interesting to see how the adaptation grows once available.

Mark,

The Ansible tower is a UI and dashboard on top of multiple ansibles, it
also provides restful api's.
The current versions only run x86.
The challenge I have is RH has declined to port it to s390x because "
nobody ever asks for it on s390x", luckily CITI has enough cloat to push
for a port.

Hello all,

Is there any interest from the community to have AAP (formerly Ansible
Tower) available to run on s390x?

How is that different from just plain Ansible?
