It is true for most of things mentioned above, semi-true for parallel
(it should work, although results i get on my inkspitter are weird, i
don't have any dot-matrix printer to find out whether it work on them or
not) and not true for serial (it works, new set of features went on its
way to Al before New Year but there is no new version with those
improvements yet since Al was away - 0.0.74 serial works, but doesn't
allow ioctl() settings while new version will allow that).
