I'm sorry that you wasted (?) the time for this effort. Modified version
of serial.c, which ought to support most useful ioctl() calls for serial
devices (setting speed, flow control, word length, parity and stuff like
that) went to Al sometime around New Year (maybe even before). He has
some problems ATM so he wasn't able to test and incorporate the latest
version into kernel (hence there were no pre versions in the meanwhile
.. nothing really happened :-)))) but i hope you'll be able to get some
pre0.0.75 soon.
