While I agree that this is a concern, allowing non-kernel drivers may even
allow for MORE main memory, if we ever get swapping working.  I envision
the space required for this feature to be in the 0.5 to 1 Kbyte range -
perhaps much less.  And in the ELKS tradition, it will probably be a
compile time option.  (The last time I built a kernel, I couldn't say
"yes" to every option due to space reasons, but that may be different
now.)
