Hmm, I think that would be *really* cool! ROMable free Unix-like systems is
really what I'll be needing in the coming months. My boss produces a remote
controlled camera that currently runs over radio using hardware (or
something - I don't know the details yet), and is looking for me to do
system upgrades and program a new realease this summer. The camera itself
will run a ROM OS - right now that would be ROMable DOS, but since he is a
Unix fan like me, if I could give him the ELKS kernel on ROM, he would
probably go for it. (Already planning to write the controller software,
which will run off a PC and communicate over Ethernet, on Linux) Along that
same vein, is there an existing free Unix-like OS that can run on ROM?

ROMmizing ELKS is a project that I would certainly like to contribute
to, but I really don't know what is being done on the problem, or where to
start. If anyone needs something done, I'd be willing to help out. Having
said that, I'd need some serious guidance.
