Is there a listing anywhere of which machines use which? I know the ][e and
my //c use the 65c02, what chip does the ][+ use? I have an old one (serial
number #424 no less) in my basement.

Can you crunch the Elks kernel into 144kb? Seems like a tight fit, but if
need be we could use the 800kb 3 1/2 inch drives.

Well, you're certainly ambitious- but won't the drop from 640k to 64k be
utter murder?

As an aside, if you *can* get a kernel set up, what are the chances of doing
something completely unexpected, like networking? I say this because I
always wanted to network my //c, but Apple never put the AppleTalk code in
the ROMs; Could that be put into a custom kernel, and maybe use a LocalTalk
to Ethernet bridge? This would be a huge step, IMHO, even if it just
allowed an apple to be a telnet box or something. Every public school I
know still has a few thousand platinum ][e boxes, and if you could do this,
they would be forever grateful for extending their lives.
