I personally think that altough it is a cool thing to telnet with an
old computer, if someone wants to do things like e-mail, pos, or
anything like this, it is much more practical to use the XT as a simple
terminal with dos and some terminal program. You get much more
processing power even with many clients, not mentioning that when you
have to connect to a machine running a custom daemon you completely
lose any advantages (at least, in my viewpoint).
On the other hand, some kind of simple message-based IPC over a serial
link would be cool (and eventually, more complex applications like
TCP emulation could be implemented over it). And even more interesting
if one could link several machines in a ring (as Tomas Stewart
suggested) and _then_ do transparent IPC. It may even be the foundation
of several kind of distributed software...

Dont care about it much, i suggest. For example, in hungarian vali _is_
a woman name... :-)
