This is a ELKS list, not linux. The ELKS is very good for run in 386+
machines with low memory.
I run ELKS+Microwindows perfectly well in my AMD K5 with 2Mb (2 SIMM 1Mb -
70ns - The Motherboard accept only pair of SIMMs) and a 40Mb IDE HD.
ELKS is really the perfect OS to run on machines with low resources.
I have too Linux (slakware 3.0) running on my 486 dx2 66 8 Mb(1 SIMM 8Mb)
with 700 Mb HD. Is my home network server, but the it was designed for
machines with 4Mb or more. For less than 4mb, is too much dificult to run.
Because of this, I recommend run ELKS.
