No, mgaclock is seperate from X - it's just a little program you run from 
an xterm or whatever. I'm not really sure whether it makes things more 
stable, but it seems to, and at higher resolutions or in 32bit it makes 
games run a _lot_ faster (GLQuake does about 100fps at 800x600...)

I get lm_sensors to compile by making kernel patches for i2c and 
lm_sensors, and then patching my kernel - the instructions are in the README.
