Regardless of your ABIT mainboard, UP pay close attention......
All ABIT Mainboards with HPT366 onboard must have SMP kernels!!!
For those with UP boards, pass "noapic".
SMP handles the split pin problem better than UP.
I have new code that fixes this in general, but needs more checking.
It is old code that worked in the past, but I forgot why it was important
and tossed it.........I remembered again......thus found it in an old
tree.
