I am configuring Slackware 7 on a BP6. It is mostly working, I am now trying to solve the stability problems. I am currently running 2.2.13, and plan to upgrade to 2.2.14 shortly. The root filesystem is on a SCSI disk attached to an ISA PEL V1600 card, which is an aha152x clone. In order to boot, I have an EIDE drive currently used only for booting. (The drive needs to have aha152x=0x340,10 set and I haven't figured out how to get the BIOS to boot from it.) The problem is that when I add noapic to the boot params in lilo.conf, the kernel reports 'interrupt 10 lost' at startup and fails to find the SCSI drive. Is there any way to set noapic after booting? Also, I have been unable to locate IO-APIC.txt referenced in the bootprompt HOWTO. A pointer would be appreciated. --gvc -- =- To unsubscribe, email [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the -= =- body of "unsubscribe linux-abit". -=
