Hey all, here it goes:

<rant>
Well, as of tomorrow I'm finished with the BP6 in my co-located server. I
had made the mistake of not being on this list prior to sending my server
away (3000 miles to Cali) before I felt the effects of the BP6 lockups. The
server faired well and could do about 30-40 day uptimes before either it
locked up or we rebooted to prevent a lockup. A few days ago we had a
complete lockup causing a corrupted FS. (Backups are fabulous things. I'm
lucky I do it so diligently). That was the last straw, we've had enough.
We're replacing the BP6 for a Tyan Tiger 100 (S1832) Dual PIII, 2 x 600Mhz
Cu mines. I'm going to ship the BP6& CPUs here so I can test them on my own
without risk to my business, and I still plan on trying to use it on a
workstation. It might make a nice test box or maybe a gateway.

Moral of the Story: "Never put a BP6 in a box that _HAS_ to be stable..."
</rant>

Regards,

    Jon
