Quoting Robert Davies:
: You might like to check the kernel mailing list thread about fs corruption
: with 2.4.0-test11 before you get bitten. Changelog of test12 should give an
: idea.
I retried the latest -test12: it builds, but I have unresolved symbols
in sg.o and sr_mod.o. I also saw many reports of people complaining
that -test12 deadlocked, even on non-BP6 hardware!
The -test13-pre2 does not even build (fails at xconfig stage, don't
remember the error text).
I'll stick to test11 for now and pray that the ext2 corruption will not
happen. On that subject, I read the archives of linux-kernel, and it
appears confusing. What exactly are the symptoms, and how was the bug
fixed? It it's a narrow patch, I can apply it to my -test11 tree.
