Are you using manual KVM switch? Because my VP6 (and BP6 reported by
others) hangs when PS/2 mouse is "unplugged/plugged". So, I have 1
mouse per machine right now, until I can find electronic KVM. I don't
have any problem with
- ATI Xpert 98 AGP (Rage Pro and Rage XL).
- Logitech MouseMan, MousePort version (PS/2 mouse)
- XFree86-3.3.6
- Kernel 2.2.16, 2.2.18 (2.4.2 compiles and boots)
Try disassembling your computer, vacuum everything, and reassemble. I
had problem with metal shavings long ago.
