yes, there's support for network already: http://linux1394.sourceforge.net,
but I'm trying to find time to make my external ieee1394 HDD to work, the
guys at our office already made it work with SBP-2 found in the sourceforge
page mentioned, now I have to get more info about the CXD1947Q chipset in
my vaio to try to implement support for it in linux, but the OHCI chipset
in this WD firewire board is supported already, not that stable but getting
there 8)
