KUTIPAN:
==========================================
RedHat Network Up2Date

This HowTo is designed for use with plain RedHat Linux 7.2 systems,
although it may also be used with similar Linux distributions such as
RedHat 7.3 and RedHat 8.0.

Use with systems that have software such as Ensim installed (i.e. those
that perform modifications to the standard server setup, and/or require
custom modules) is not recommended.

Instructions
1
Login to the server as root, using SSH protocol 2.

2
If you have not done so already, go to the RedHat Network website, and
sign up for an account.

You are entitled to one server per account to have free updates - if you
have more that one server, you will need to either buy more
entitlements, or create another account.

3
Type the following command:

/usr/sbin/rhn_register
Go through the screens that appear, entering your RedHat Network account
information (username, password, email) when requested. Most of the
information needed is gathered automatically by the program.

4
There is now a choice (once the program has ended). Some people may wish
to go back to the RedHat Network website and view details of all updates
available. These will then be scheduled to automatically install when
your server checks in with RHN. If this is what you choose, you should
stop now and not follow the rest of this guide.

Another method is to run the update yourself, at the command line:

up2date -uv
This command will find all updates available, and install them. The -v
option stands for "verbose", meaning that more detailed output will be
produced. It can be ommitted if not required.

5
The up2date program will now install all available software packages
available for your system. Every time you want to check for updates
again, you can repeat step 4.

Goodluck..
