It's best to take them to small claims court.
Here's why:
It's cheaper for them to pay up than to send a lawyer.
Second...it establishes a court record that they tried to
weasel out of their own contract by BLATANTLY violating the
terms of said contract.
If 1000 people do that, AND contribute their names, and
case docket numbers to a central database, than that can
be used to smack Bill's jaw with a 2x4 every time he tries
to pass himself and Mafia$oft as legitimate business entities.

But with Windoze, you don't have to RTFM. You just click on Start and
it detects all your hardware, sets up your ISP, installs Word, and
arranges a romantic candlelight dinner for two.
At least that's what Bill and his worshippers say. Or are they just

In the United States, you cannot be held liable for anything other
than CONVICTIONS.
If you try to punish someone as responsible for a crime for which
they were acquitted (such as denying a professional license), be
prepared to have great legal difficulties yourself.

Hi all,
Since I live in the Pacific region that fact caught my eye in this very
positive Wired article:
http://www.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,42156,00.html
This is also good news for IBM:
[It's Linux advertising blitz] "may be a sensible investment, since IBM
attributes Big Blue's growing strength in the server hardware market
directly to Linux.
"In a report by industry analysts IDC, which is slated to be released on
Monday, IBM is ranked as the No. 1 Intel-based server vendor in IDC's Asia
Pacific/Japan region, a distinction that belonged to Compaq for the last
three years."
Regards,
Adam

Last year, OS/2 brought in $92 in direct sales, and supposedly that
does not even include seats, which is where most of the sales are
made. The $1 billion figure is for several years running now and is
stated as, "OS/2 brings in over $1 billion a year in 'related goods
and services'", whatever that means. A lot of that is probably for
support and development.
At one

Still is.

Well, sure but they still sell the Hell out of the client too. Sales
went up quite a bit last year after declining for a couple of years.
IBM probably sells 1,000 copies a day of OS/2 or thereabouts,
especially in Europe. I believe OS/2 still has about 10 million
seats, though it may have been losing seats lately. For instance,
this year, a large German bank is supposedly kicking out all NT seats
and buying 300,000 of Warp 4 Fixpak 14, along with 1,000 servers. IBM
is sending a special team over there to design a custom kernel for
them and write drivers. I know a guy who is participating in the
rollout.
Many of these messaging networks

> being replaced with XML over MQSeries.
Oh, well, MQ Series is well-supported on OS/2 also. OK, Java is going
out, eh? Read the classifieds and tell me what type of programmer ads
are increasing more than any other? Java? Gotcha! ;)

Actually, this is where a lot of the OS/2 seats are. The financial
