I'm just outraged that you would say that bottom-kissing of
corporations is an inbred Yankee trait. Why, look at our current
President and our previous President. They would never kiss corporate
butt.

In the US some people are no doubt wondering right now why we don't
just get it overwith and make Gates President. After all, he's a
"winner" and a "leader." We like those.

Very cool. Thanks for injecting a happy story into the thread.

Well, IMO, it has always been an old mans war and a young mans fight.
When trouble erupts and other countries start whining and asking the
U.S. for help, its always the american blood that gets shed, not yours.
Maybe we ought to stay totally out of everything and go total
isolationist and let the rest fend for themselves. When China ever sees
that then the area your in will be dog meat. History has taught us a
lesson in that. WWI europeans came to this country trying to get this
so called isolationist country into that war. Many americans didn't
want to get involved, due to Thomas Jeffersons warnings about
entanglements with foreign states. WWII, caused by the results of WWI,
caused a hitler to be raised. What if we stayed out of that war too?
Still think NZ would be german speaking or japanese speaking today? I'm
looking at this from an idealist viewpoint. Here's where my tide
turns... this countrys' leaders aren't leading this country and they
have no choice in it. All too often I've heard of campaign promises
that were broken, ever since Lyndon Johnson. Every last gov. on this
planet is corrupt. In George Washingtons' vision he had, recorded in
the library of Congress, shown that a civil war would strike this
country, that two world wars would shake this country, and those have
came true.... the last one hasn't come true yet, and I now know that our
current path is one of destruction from the rest of the worlds hatred
toward this country. Historically, when a country leaves the Gold
standard it usually takes about 50 years for that country to fall. Not
much time left. In this country most people are in apathy for what
happens everyday and are becoming numb to current events.

But lets bury this subject... lets advocate Linux instead. That should
be a peaceful project.

It would show up, of all systems, first in unix / linux. There after all
even exist such concepts as "chroot". It would be probably not too easy
to implement something of that sort for email, but it should be possible.
But, I fear that really not too many people are convinced that this is a
desireable feature at all. I dont need it, in addition I dont want it.

And Apple has contributed the first consistant user interface for UNIX.

Top to Bottom... Aqua is the dream for a clean Linux UI...

 http://www.apple.com/macosx/tour/finder.html

I really don't think Apple is "out to make money" with Darwin, Apple has
never been much into "materialism" like a MicroSoft. The whole idea has
been to build a "great computer" for friends. The roots of Apple are the
same as the Linux community, but with excellent hardware. SAMI
