Hi friends, greetings from Venezuela!
I recently entered in this list to know more about Linux in Alpha.
I'm working in Linux since 1995, but in Intel only. Recently, in my work,
they assign me an AlphaServer 400 (oldie but goodie). I mounted it RH6.0.
I have two little problems. First: I downloaded em86 0.4 After
installing, I tried to run it, but doesn't ran and wrote this message:
wmserver:~$ em86
em86: error in loading shared libraries: em86: undefined symbol:
__getdents
What is the library that has this symbol?
Second: I downloaded Netscape 4.7 in alphalinux.org (OSF
version?). I installed it and...
wmserver:~$ netscape http://wmserver.rect.ucv.ve/nestor
Warning: locale not supported by C library, locale unchanged
Warning: Cannot convert string
"-*-Menu-Medium-R-Normal--*-120-*-*-P-*-ISO8859-1" to type FontStruct
and doesn't open the windows. The top says netscape is using
*very little CPU* (approx. 3%). I hoped 100%.
Can you help me?
