X-windows on linux/Alpha

Hi
I apologise in advance for such a 'newbie' question. I have a DEC
AlphaServer 1000 4/200 that is quite happily running linux for me but I
have run into a brick wall as far as X-windows. I assume this is
possible, are there any idiot guides around to getting this going?
