I'm experiencing these weird lockups with my alpha and found many
e-mail in the list, arround January and February 2000.
Has the solution to this been found ?
The problem I have is that the screen lockups quite often and the only thing
I can do is just reboot. It usually happens when opening (or even closing) a window.
My system is (from Microway, what they call `Scream'n Demon Professional Edition
System',
but with bigger L2 cache, RAM and HD):
21164/600MHz CPU with 4MB cache
PC164-LX motherboard
256 MB SDRAM (2cs 16x72 DIMMS)
ITI3I4OU UW SCSI Controller
4,5 GB UW SCSI Seagate HD
18 GB UW SCSI Seagate HD
Matrox Millenium II 4MB graphic card
Kingston Tech. 10/100 Ethernet RJ45
+ usual stuff (keyboard, mouse, floppy,CD-ROM,...)
Running RedHad 6.2.14-6.0
