Hello Mirko ,  One I suggest staying away from is the USR I-Modem .
        I had (probably) multiple problems with the device .
        Here are the ones I remember:

        Mysterious disconnects , with no logged error(s)) .
        Could only use 1 B channel .
        Absolutely -NO- support from USR for the device (except W9x/Wnt) .

        It actually appears like USR was/is discontinuing the device .
