The ACS project has been formally introduced with the initial release of
ACS-0.0.1. The ACS project was founded to deliver a GPL licensed multi-line
telephony server built using a class extensible C++ state engine framework
capable of delivering commercial applications in voice messaging, automatic
call distribution, and IVR/voice response systems. This initial release
primarily uses the Pika's Monte Carlo API under Linux and represents the
class framework and core design for ACS. Future releases will include
support for Natural Microsystems CT Access platform. Outside contributors
to the ACS project are welcome. The latest information on ACS may be found
at http://www.tycho.com/acs.

The PKVMZ program being used in the new Voxilla unified messaging demo has
also been released under GPL. PKVMZ, which has an ancestral relationship to
ACS, may be found at ftp://ftp.tycho.com/pub/acs and is now held in
copyright by the Open Source Telecom Corporation.

The first release (version 0.1) of ptknslookup is now available at:

        http://www.whirlnet.demon.co.uk/linux/ptknslookup.html

ptknslookup (Perl/Tk NSLookup) is a GUI Perl/Tk app for X11 that can do DNS
lookups (hostname to IP addresses and vice versa). If you have the Net::DNS
module (from CPAN) installed, it can also look up the MX records for a host.

The script is directly downloadable from:

        http://www.whirlnet.demon.co.uk/linux/ptknslookup

Comments, suggestions, bug reports etc. should be sent to me, Alan Ford:

        [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Thanks.
