=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====
Hello all,
I proudly announce: discoverb, the initial release!
What is discoverb?
Discoverb is a python program, and it tests the words you learned. You can tell
discoverb what a word means (by putting them in a file)
, and discoverb will ask it to you. It writes all
words you do not know, where you give the wrong awnser, to a file. A word can
have more than one meaning, either all or only one required.
Discoverb is still in very early states of development, it's absolutly not
stable yet. I still have to write a GUI. But the development goes quite fast. I
also still have to write a manual. When I have more of such things, I'll
announce it at "larger" places, like freshmeat, download.com (it's
cross-platform), and many, many portals.
I will often release a new version, but I won't announce the small ones
everyewhere. There
is a discoverb mailinglist at [EMAIL PROTECTED], you can subscribe
by sending an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED], with in the body:
subscribe discoverb. Every little version will be announced there.
If you're interested, visit the discoverb homepage at:
http://www.nl.linux.org/~gerrit/discoverb/
have fun,
Gerrit Holl
groeten,
Gerrit.

=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====
This is to announce version 0.0.1 of df1srv - a partial Linux implementation
of the df1 protocol for Allen-Bradley P.L.C's.
It is implemented as a server rather than a library, to allow multiple
applications to communicate to an AB P.L.C. This would allow
a remote gui and a local-host gui to communicate with the same plc and
not fight over the serial line.
Currently only block-reads/writes are implemented.

Subject: COMMERCIAL: CodeWarrior for SuSE Linux
Date: Mon, 28 Jun 1999 22:09:48 GMT
=====BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE=====
Metrowerks and SuSE Deliver Development Tools for Linux
Austin, Texas, Oakland, California and Nuremberg, Germany--June 28, 1999-
Metrowerks Inc. (NASDAQ: MTWK, TSE/ME:MWK), a leading supplier of software
development tools for telecom, desktop, embedded systems, and consumer
electronics, and SuSE GmbH, a leading provider of Linux software and
consulting services, announced today their partnership to provide
CodeWarrior software development tools for the SuSE Linux operating
system.
This agreement to bring commercial development tools to SuSE Linux is the
latest in a series of transactions that increase the viability of the
Linux OS. "Our partnership with Metrowerks helps accelerate the adoption
of Linux throughout the world," said Dr. Stefan Werden, vice president,
SuSE GmbH. "We will work closely with Metrowerks to jointly market and
sell CodeWarrior for SuSE Linux."
"By making CodeWarriors user-friendly development tools available on the
SuSE Linux platform, we continue to increase the community of software
developers writing applications for SuSE Linux -- a community that is
today comprised of more than 250,000 developers," said Rolan Tyroff, CEO,
SuSE GmbH.
"SuSE has been a leader in Linux throughout Europe and North America",
noted Jean Belanger, chairman and CEO, Metrowerks. "The combination of
SuSE and CodeWarrior responds to the growing demand from professional
developers for a complete suite of commercial software development tools
for Linux."
Metrowerks, SuSE and the Linux Operating System
CodeWarrior is the first widely used, commercially available Integrated
Development Environment (IDE) to be ported to SuSE Linux. This
comprehensive and integrated set of tools includes editors, browsers,
project management facilities, compilers, debuggers and other development
tools within a powerful and easy-to-use graphical development
environment. The increased productivity provided by the CodeWarrior IDE
reduces the time-to-market for all developers of third party
applications. Those developers already using CodeWarrior on other
platforms can adopt SuSE Linux as their new platform without needing to
learn a new tool set.
Product Availability
The companies will release two separate products. CodeWarrior for SuSE
Linux, GNU Edition targets native Linux applications development using the
CodeWarrior IDE and the GNU compiler and debugger technology. CodeWarrior
for SuSE Linux, Professional Edition will support Linux development using
integrated compilers and debuggers from Metrowerks for C, C++, and Java.
CodeWarrior for SuSE Linux, GNU Edition is expected to be available in
July 1999.
CodeWarrior for SuSE Linux, Professional Edition is expected to be
available by the end of 1999. Pricing information will be available from
Metrowerks and SuSE.
